Hanging On For Dear Life
Apr. 29th, 2009 11:51 pmHere's something I haven't done in a while...
GOOD
+ got a 140/150 on my listening analysis for music appreciation
+ will turn in extra credit to get higher grade
+ got an extension on my english paper - due next Wednesday
+ will be emailed the essay for english final, i can do it over the weekend and then just turn it in on Wednesday.
+ played three decent solos in jazz band today
BAD
- have lots to do
- need to mail JORDY back by tomorrow (obviously not going to happen)
- too much on my mind (adam, financial issues, future, weight, school, morals, etc.)
- in need of a human hug... I don't know why, but I desperately feel the need to be hugged.
UGLY
~ have an unpaid bill from Kishwaukee Hospital (what are the consequences?)
~ don't know what my status is when it comes to DRS
This is what I believe I'll receive for grades for the semester.
ENG 152 = not sure yet, but hopefully a C (I'll be extremely happy if I pass...)
MUS 151 = A (hopefully including a great score on the final and the extra credit I'm doing)
Choir = A (I've only missed ONE day of rehearsal because of cramming for a test.. I haven't missed a performance. No reason to fail me.)
Jazz Band = A (haven't missed a rehearsal yet)
GER 152 = A (I'm doing an extra take home test to give me an optimum grade.)
I'm not exactly sure how all of this will add up in my GPA. The only class I am worried about is English. I talked to the professor. We worked stuff out. I am going to include the first paper I never handed in. Hopefully she'll give me some credit even though she said she wouldn't. I know she has a big heart and if she lets others turn in papers that were never given, I should have that same right.
I got to drive again tonight. It was really fun. I think if I drove every day, I might actually get the hang of it. The only thing is, I wouldn't be able to drive anywhere other than a parking lot when no cars or people are around. *grin*
I'm done with my last day of classes for the semester! The next time I will be doing anything academic will be in the summer when I am hard at work doing work for my online courses. I'm not too worried. Hopefully, there will be no complications.
The next few days goes as follows:
Thursday (4/30)
9 AM - do the lab due for German
10 AM - prepare for the rest of the day
11 AM - tutoring (go over the take home tests due for German)
12 PM - turn in my extra credit for music appreciation, german final and speak to the Study Abroad office
1 PM - find Susan and go speak with the offices that will hopefully hire my father to teach martial arts at MCC
2:20 PM - track down iPod guy and demand my money
2:30 PM - UPS the JORDY back (I wonder if the IL Assistive Tech program has late charges... I hope not...)
3 PM - Enjoy a nice walk at the park with Jim, Nikko, and Barb, go to Player's Bench and purchase an electric guitar stand.
Whenever I get back from that excursion, I'll start on my paper due for english.
Friday (5/1)
My first real day to relax and not get up early.... Yes - amazing....
Wake up whenever... (unless I'm going to Chicago)
Make calls to DRS and Kishwaukee hospital
Possibly go to Chicago to purchase the Victor Reader Stream from the Chicago LIghthouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired
Hopefully by this time, I'll have an outline for my english paper. Begin studying for my music apprec final... If English prof emails me prompt for the final writing, begin that too.
Saturday (5/2)
Another day I could sleep in.. Finally...
I have to see Susan at Evolve. She's going to demonstrate silk painting.
Then home for more studying and writing of papers....
A fun excursion for the nighttime? a reward?
Perhaps I should read a book....
Sunday (5/3)
I don't know if my parents are going to force me to go to church. Bah - either way, I'd like to go to Stein's concert, but I have a recital to attend. After that fun over at 7 PM. I come home and study hard for the final that is coming the next day.
Monday (5/4)
Holy shit, the day is finally here. I'll wake up early, refreshed, and study some more.... Then I'll get to school by noon, take my final, and go home. I'll work on my paper and the final for english.
So that's my five day forecast... Wish me luck.... I'm almost done.... I can do this..... *breathes*
