Chopsticks

Firstly, new people are AWESOME! I love meeting new people. I've met yet another blind martial artist. His name is Dawson and he's from Australia. Yay for international relations!!! He studies Karate. I met him over Facebook and its group "Blind Students on Facebook". I am meeting more and more new people and it's greatly helping me keep my mind busy.

I haven't done much else today. I went to the post office dropped off FAFSA and GDF paperwork. Adam took me to Chili's and I had a steak. It was delicious. We came back and he returned his car so his brother could go to work. We hung around and blew bubbles. :) Courtesy of Emma who gave me the gallon of bubbles for my birthday. I forgot to mention I had a Korean cold noodle dish yesterday. It's called Nang Myun and it's really great for the summer days.

I also got to ice skate with Bradford and Amanda. It killed my feet!! We crashed a graduation party and romped on the trampoline until 11:45 PM. Bradford took us home. I am here now, smiling.

Random thought time: I hope my dog guide's name is Rufus.... That would be fabulous because I have an obsession with Rufus Wainwright and his fabulous music. I know I can't choose names, but it doesn't hurt to dream.

Taekwondo

I helped with promotion testing today. I was just a stand-in pretty much. I wore my full uniform and participated in testing. I did my blocks, punches, and kicks. However, I couldn't perform any breaks or forms. How unfortunate. But it was still enjoyable.

Yanking the Chain

Sittin' here listening to Jem and wondering about the future. It's incredible how fast I fall from my high horse of hope. It's surprising to recognize these patterns within myself. Yet it's intriguing. The thoughts continue, but I don't try to push them away.

Tomorrow will be a belated birthday escapade into the windy city. Adam and I are planning on going to the Shedd and then finding me a tasty good Chicago style hotdog. Ironically, I haven't had one yet.... I'm craving bratwurst with sourkraut at this moment. Then I am supposed to chaperon two students to ICRE Wood for Summer In the City. It is a camp for visually impaired high school students. I'll be helping out for the second session.

22 days until I leave for GDF!! I'm excited.....

Does anyone know of a good music album? I am enlarging my music library and would love suggestions from anyone. Any takers?
