Cold Noodles
Aug. 18th, 2009 03:42 pmEating nnang myun on a day like today is too much for a chick who craves BBQ ribs.
It's summer. Indeed, Korean cold noodles are ideal for a day such as this one; hot and humid, the air thick enough to drink.
However I cannot shake this feeling of disappointment. Barb's family had ribs the other day. I ate some of them, but controlled myself before transforming into the Yellow Incredible Hulk.
Now, as I sit here without a houseful of non-ethnic food, my mouth is craving something other than cold noodles in kimchi broth.
Forgive me if I mention that my breath smells like cabbage with a hint of ginger.
Although the scent of garlic is also present.
We all know that Koreans love garlic.
Which is semi-awkward because the majority of people who know me believe that I am one of the most nocturnal beings alive.
Musings aside, now all of you know that I want ribs.
Too bad I don't possess the skills to conjure up a tasty tidbit from my meager supplies at home.
