Three cheers for nose bleeds! I had a couple today. I guess that means that I'm physically too tired and fucked up to be doing shit! YAY!!!
I ate falafel for the first time and loved it. MW had his birthday shindig at the French Bakery. I stuffed myself to high heaven. Some goooood eatin's.. *grin*
ES picked me up and we went to see Transformers 2. It was actually very good. Lots of action and plenty of sappy dialogue... There were some really gross parts and some really interesting parts too. I spent $4 on a box of Skittles. Never EVER doing that again. I could've gotten it for only $1 at the local KMart.
Jim's vet appointment is rescheduled for next Thursday. GDF wants me to find out if this issue involves pain or anything else medical. I hope I have money left for convention immediately after. I called Megabus to inform them that I was traveling with a service dog. They put me on hold and transferred me around in circles. They told me after all that transference that all I had to do is show up and present Jim's ID and make sure he's wearing his "tag". The lady on the phone said he needed to be wearing a special "tag".
Convention is coming closer and closer. I still have things I have to purchase.
- digital camera (mine is broken and wont start right away... I found a nice Nikon for $129)
- Osprey traveling duffle (
fiddle_pup showed me this really neat bag that can be either a wheeled bag or a backpack. There is plenty of space and there is a detachable day pack. Sweet deal... It would really help me with all of my luggage and handling Jim. Don't exactly feel like pulling crap behind me like I did in Boston and NY.)
- MAYBE: Swiss Army sling backpack (another great bag
fiddle_pup showed me)
I'm really hoping that they'll give me a discount for the Osprey backpack. I know students get a discount, but maybe if I bring Jim and explain, they'll lower the price. I'm hoping to get all this stuff on Sunday.
I have a lot to do before I leave for convention.
- finish/turn in financial aid papers to MCC
- apply for Americorp (if it involves transportation, I don't think I could do it.. but I'll call)
- make, edit, and send in DVDs of Jim and I walking in our problem spot
- purchase the items listed above
- contact P about room
- pack for convention (aka laundry time!)
- Jim's vet appointment and paperwork sent to GDF
- do my homework for geography and history
- clean/dust room (I want it to be spotless for the time that I'm gone.)
