Birthday Blunderings

Thank you to all those who left birthday wishes here on LJ and on Facebook.
I am writing because I'm at the library yet again.
I was woken up at 6:56 AM by a loud "Uhnni! Wake up!" [uhnni = sister in Korean] and a tray of french toast, oatmeal, a banana, and orange juice placed on my chest. I actually wanted to sleep in but I was so surprised by my sister waking me up this morning. It was incredibly nice of her. My parents walked in and my father picked up my guitar and played a very bad off key version of Happy Birthday and sang. It was hilarious. I think that's why he did it, to make me smile on my birthday. Thus far, he has not said a word about my weight. My mother, however, opened a can of those worms already. Whatever, I'll let it go.
I ate my breakfast in bed with a hungry Jim staring at me from the floor. Not long after, my mother and I went for a walk with the two shadows we call dogs. I planted my birthday tree. It is a weeping cherry tree and when it's in full bloom next spring, it will bear white flowers. I am so very excited about it.
I don't remember what I said through the voicepost and I can't listen to it here because the computer is muted.
I can't believe I'm still awake right now. I have a long day ahead of me. I am here at the library because I have to complete an assignment due at 11:55 PM for my online history course.
Personally, I feel like blowing it off, but I'm here, so why should I commit to such treachery?
I will probably have internet again later tonight.
My text books will have to be ordered from Chegg.com and I will have to visit the bank while I'm out.
There are still a lot of things to be done.
Bah - birthday my butt.... It should be a day of relaxation, not one of anxiety about homework and things to be accomplished. Although, it is said that usually the birthday person has the worst day. 
Ah well, off to do homework.
