Seasons of Love
Feb. 4th, 2009 11:23 pmI am almost certain that I will be seeing Rent with the original Anthony Rapp and Adam Pascal. My friend Emily knows of a secret door at the back of the theater where people can gather after the show and meet the cast and get autographs. A great opportunity to bring Jim. He will attract attention. *smile* I've always wanted to meet Anthony Rapp and Adam Pascal. They seem so down-to-earth and intelligent, genuine. I am excited also to know that I will probably still get a decent seat because I took the liberty of calling about accessible seats. I wish I can see what I am typing, but Zoomtext is currently finished with it's time on my computer. Trial OVER. Perhaps I should just start using JAWS. Frankly, my eyes are tiring out so much quicker lately. In a sense, it worries me, but then again, it could be so much worse. I am laying on my back typing this and staring at the ceiling. To be honest, I prefer the dark anyway. It is far more comforting than the scorching brightness that the sun poses when it hits the snow. I don't think I could stand not seeing and somehow spell checking my writing. The built in reader on my laptop is kind of cruddy and it freezes. This is why Sarah needs to buy herself a Macbook. Anyone want to help me? *grin*
School is not all that exciting. I went to my first Equality meeting on Tuesday. It was rather small and there were not many people there. They were, however, a little more laid back than Prism at NIU. Not to mention, my German tutor is the "advisor". She is so incredibly nice and I admire her for everything. There are not many people I feel that way about right as I meet them.
I have skipped twice when it comes to classes thus far in the semester. Both of which, could've been avoided. Ah well, the fact stays in tact, I will not ditch class again, unless I know I am failing another class and have to write a paper. Which is why I ditched in the first place. All is good and I know I will not fail this semester. There is no way I could.... I just have to stay focused while keeping my head on straight..
Jazz band was fantastic. I was the only female in the room for the most of rehearsal. *grin* It's OK though, because most of the band consists of older men anyway. I feel like I know the pieces better now that we have been playing them for some time. There was some impressive soloing from Jerry on guitar. He recognized me from when I played soccer and was on his daughter's team 9 years ago.
Tomorrow I will lunch with Adam and take care of some things while going to class and talking about random things in German. I will attend the meeting for the newspaper and suggest that I write some pieces about guide dogs.
All in all, things are shaping and I am feeling a little better about all this.
