Firsttime Voting Experience
Nov. 4th, 2008 10:10 amI just voted about an hour ago. Ironically enough, I almost threw out my voter's registration card thinking it wasn't important. HAHA - good thing I verified with Sarah on what that card looked like. I returned to CL to vote. Anyway, I went to the Rotary building at Vet's Acres and it was jam packed full of people. I had taken Jim with me to verify that I needed an enlarged ballot. They didn't have such a thing nor did they have a braille ballot. They had a skimpy magnifier that didn't work for me or an option of voting electronically. The eVote had a larger font option, so I voted that way. I felt it was difficult for me to look at all these names. Most of which I didn't know. Maybe I should've read up on these people. Oh well, I voted and that's all that counts. Everyone I know voted for Obama. However, there are traits with both of the candidates that I disagree with. I don't really feel like getting into that topic so I'll stop my entry here.
