Monday Musings
Sep. 16th, 2008 04:25 amSarah gave me a ring at 8:45 AM and asked if I wanted to get coffee. I declined but thanked her for waking me up. Then I called the writing center, rescheduled, called the other office, and rescheduled that meeting as well. Both are tomorrow; One at 11 AM and the other at 3:30 PM. I spent the morning relaxing and doing some homework. I fell asleep at around 11 AM because I was still so tired. I know, shame on me. It was about 12:15 PM when I awoke and realized I was supposed to meet Christie at Graham to check the Braille homework from the Wednesday before. I arrived at Graham at 1:30 PM. After apologizing profusely for being late, we corrected homework and then briskly walked to the Junction for food. I accidentally took Christie the long way. I didn't realize the damn place was so close. I felt bad for dragging Christie all the way to Normal and having to back-track near Varsity Plaza. A really nice woman and her children stopped us right as we ere having a street crossing dilemma. She asked if her daughters can say hello to our dogs. We declined but asked her if she could help us cross the street. Lincoln Highway is a very busy road to cross if one decides to cross where there is no crosswalk. The lady was so nice to help us out. I thanked her again and again and then waltzed into the diner. Miraculously, we made it with 45 minutes until Freedom was supposed to come get us to return to Graham. We were seated almost immediately and then were asked what we wanted to drink. We each ordered water and then ordered our meals. I had a fresh mushroom burger with curly fries. It was so good... Wow, what's up with me and ordering burgers all the time? We ate our meals just in time. Freedom came at 3:15 PM sharp and we were off to class at Graham. Braille class went by fairly quickly. We discussed the wh, th, st, ch, sh, ou contractions. We received Braille playing cards. Pretty sweet... After the lecture, there was still 25 minutes of class left so BINGO was the game that was played. I got a BINGO thus winning a free ticket for the prize box. Yay me! The reading session wasn't as unbearable this time. Jim and I scurried to English class and sat through lecture. The teacher seemed slightly ticked off. But I was lucky. He allowed me to email the assignment to him by 5 tomorrow (Tuesday). We were let out at 8 PM. I came back to my room, fed and took Jim out, and was on the computer till I received a call from Christie. I returned to Graham to retrieve my homework and talked with Christie until Freedom came to fetch her at 9:30 PM. I've been awake ever since.... Damn these papers and assignments... I'm starting to lose my nocturnal shine... This is bad.... real bad...
P.S. Lifehouse is going to be at Loyola University in Chicago on Thursday. I want to go really bad and tickets are only $10 for non-Loyola students. Why the hell should I miss this concert?!! So... I want to go... Hopefully Andrea will say yes to accompanying me...
