I have a big problem. I dislike children very much. Here are the reasons why I feel this way. I understand that not all children are like this, but the ones that I've encountered all seem to get on my bad side.

They:
  • Are loud.
  • Are disrespectful.
  • Are obnoxious.
  • Are needy.
  • Are all over the place.
  • Touch everything that is and isn't theirs.
  • Cry if they don't get their way.
  • Cry regardless.
  • Make messes.
  • Throw tantrums.
  • Enjoy hitting.
  • Are very clingy.
  • Are (if not clingy) very distant and enjoy making us look for them.
  • Must be entertained in order to be well behaved.
  • Are either afraid to death of dogs to the point where they scream as soon as they see one.
  • Are obsessed with dogs to the point where they don't leave the dog alone.
  • have items that they play with that are not suitable for a household full of older persons who value their hearing. (IE. Whistles, etc.)
Yes, I know. I'm a horrid, selfish person. But am I really? I know I'm not the only one out there who can't stand children (or at least the bad ones). Many may make the argument that I was once a child. I'm fully aware of that. I'm sorry I am the way I am. I'm sure that I wasn't the greatest or most well behaved child on this earth 16 years ago, but none-the-less, I still dislike children as an adult. I like my space and my sanity and that's that.

Reason for this post, I have second cousins who are not very well behaved, who enjoy terrorizing or annoying me. They are over right now. My entire family is coming for a get together.

One of the kids currently has a whistle in his possession. He was blowing it very loud in my house. Given, they are here for a visit. But I asked him to stop due to it messing with Jim's whistle commands for food, water, and coming on command. Mr. Kid with Whistle is now outside blowing it constantly. My mother had told him not to blow it, he did so she told him to go outside, I feel for my neighbors. The little boy also decided to come upstairs where the dogs are and open/close the doors. Mingke is tied down. Jim is loose in the room only because I know I can control him. Mingke is a free spirit and like me, hates children. So if they come near him, he is prone to bite. He can barely stand the noise they make. I make this very clear to anyone who wants to pet him, but for some children, ears are not a necessity and they approach him regardless of his growling. People have also told me I should get rid of him because of his temper towards people. Why should I? He's a great little dog! He's a family boy, dedicated to love each of us in the intermediate family. Jim is sort of an exception, but Mingke tolerates him.

Meh, I'll be entertaining a bunch of Korean people who judge and criticize me constantly today. Wish me luck to keep me sane.
