Packing Fiend
Aug. 16th, 2008 12:18 amI promised I'd write after lunch. That really never happened. I apologize... *sad look*
I cleaned and packed until 2. My desktop computer is stored away along with a pile of clothes and other stuff concerning school. I have yet to pack my external hard drive because I'd like to get the music from my sister's computer onto it. It'll all work itself out.
Kelly and her mother came to pick me up at around 2. Jim came along too. We were dropped off at the entrance to the path going to the lake. Kelly, Jim, and I walked to the end of the path and met with Joanna and friends. I changed into my suit and went swimming for a while. We chatted and talked. Bradford and Amanda showed up but didn't stay for long. Hopefully I get to see them before they both leave for school. After they left, it was around 4 and no one else seemed to be coming to the lake. We packed up and left for Joanna's house.
Each of us had a piece of cake. Adam and Kuba came. We chatted a little. I fed Jim his dinner, gave him water, and breaked him. He did very well. It didn't even take five minutes. I was praising him like crazy. We went inside to watch the end of the 10th Kingdom series. Kelly let me borrow the DVD box set. I'll watch it sometime this weekend. Not long after that, we all left. It was around 7 PM. Alright, alright, so the ending was more than a couple hours....
We drove Kelly home. She's leaving for Madison tomorrow to help her boyfriend's roommate move in. Adam and I went to TGI Fridays. I had ribs, crispy green bean fries with wassabi sauce, and coke to drink. We had the dessert shots for an after dinner treat. They ended up being way too rich, but were eaten because we didn't want to waste them. I had fun with Jim being with me in the restaurant. It was our 2nd restaurant visit as a team, but our first one going alone.
We were going to go to Best Buy to see if there were any flat screen TVs, but the store was closed. Halfway home I told Adam I wanted to free run Jim. We went to the park near his house. (It's about 3/4 of a mile away from my house.) We took Jim to the tennis courts and let him go crazy. Unfortunately, even if I did spend a little time trying to make him go busy beforehand, he went on the court. Oops! Oh well, hopefully it wont stain and the dew will wash away the smell. It was still very fun to watch Jim be a spazz in a big, open space. I wish I can do that more often with him.
After about 15 minutes of running around, we drove home. Adam stayed until about 11:45. We had a great conversation.
Tomorrow is a whole new day of cleaning, packing, and seeing my friend Ashley!
I'll write more soon!
