Ugh, fire alarms in huge buildings are SO irritating. Not fun.... I was rudely jostled out of bed by a loud, dissinantly screeching alarm, I fell out of bed startled by the horrendous noise. I was taking a nap because I hadn't really slept much the night before. Long morning, I guess. I'm half awake and had to walk a block in a dazed stupor. I also had someone I was sight guiding and I couldn't pay attention because my eyes and brain were so hazey. We waited in the heat for about 20 minutes. I almost passed out from my state of mind. The alarm had given me a headache. We were given the OK to head back in. But when we approached the building, the alarm was still going. There was yet another wait for a 5  to 7 minute duration in which I stood there swaying dangerously because of my throbbing eyes and head. I almost had to sit down on the sidewalk. Everything was so bright due to the sun shining and it being muggy. Talk about feeling nasty. We finally came inside with it being silent. The halls smelled of somethig burnt. I nearly fell down the stairs.

Gosh, I hate fire alarms so much. But this was just so unfortunate.

Crud, I'm still tired.....

P.S. I was going to go to the Cavalcade of Brass in Naperville, IL but decided against it because the Cavaliers are playing the same show. There would be no point for me to go if I've already seen the show. Plus, traveling on a train for 6 hours of the day doesn't sound too appealing.
