c_for_chaos: (Happiness = Music)
I woke up this morning with a bloody nose. It was ugly...My mother was the alarm clock. I rolled over and out it spurted. No wonder I couldn't breathe.  I spent more than 10 minutes spitting up blood and shoving toilet paper in my right nostril. Graphic but true. I figured my day was going to be shitty from then onward.
My father drove me to my voice lesson. We had a little issue with finding the right house.
NS allowed Jim in her house. I thought she was allergic. Guess not. *smile*
She said as long as he's a service dog, she doesn't mind him.
Some of my friends' parents are like that too.
No dogs or other pets but Jim is a service dog so he's OK.
Anyway, the lesson was amazing. I was a little nervous at first, but learned a new way of resonating my voice.
Not to mention, I was told I have excellent tone. *smile* Those kind of compliments make me happy.
I learned how to breathe better and we worked on some Broadway. Good stuff... Can't wait for next week. I'll be sure to practice this week.
I took the Pace bus to MCC. As soon as I arrived, I spoke with the choir director.
He said there are 50 people this year. I will also be joining the community group, Voices of Harmony.
Fortunately for me, this is another opportunity for me to work Jim outside on a route.
I'm excited. More singing.
Now I'm enrolled in choir and will be present on Wednesday.
I got a locker from the art department. It's a top locker and easier on my back. I was early and that's why luck was given to me.
I also talked to BA about notetakers. She said to talk to the professor.
I just made it in time for my Intro to Psych class. It was 1 PM. The prof came and introduced herself.
She is incredibly nice and really quiet. I almost thought I was going to fall asleep. Chapter 1 must be read by next Monday. Wednesday the class will discuss ethics and watch a video. She's letting me borrow it over the weekend.
T and I had a very nice conversation while she was writing out the notes from class. Not only was she intrigued by my valid points about disability rights, she was thrilled to know that I was interested in minoring in psych. She released us at 1:45, we were still talking at 2:20.
My U.S. government instructor is quite the character. He has a thick French accent, talks really fast, and is very animated compared to my psych prof. From what he's saying, it's really easy for students to get an A in his course. He also really hates cell phones in class. I'm bringing a watch to class on Wednesday. I am also bringing my laptop until I find another means of recording the lectures.
Both individuals covered material from the courses.
Fortunately for me, I didn't fall asleep. Is there a generic form of Adderal? I seriously think that I have issues paying attention. It's not that I'm not listening, I tend to zone out during lectures. Not on purpose, but usually it's unwanted and I get flustered when I have to ask anyone to repeat themselves. It obviously doesn't happen in written word, but when on the phone or in person, it occurs quite frequently.
Susan's office was not too far from my last class room. I visited with her. We took a walk around the pond. Jim found a dead bird. I heard frogs jumping in the water, plopping their bodies like pennies being thrown in a wishing well.
Susan returned to work and I went upstairs to fill out paperwork for my fitness course. Apparently Zoomtext was uninstalled on all the computers. *sigh* Not happy about that. I failed my quizzes because they weren't accessible. However, they aren't included in credit, so, they'll be reset.
My pre health evaluation for the class is next Wednesday. I'm kind of looking forward to it.
For tomorrow, I'm going to put all my necessities in my locker. I'll also have to unstick the valves on my trumpet. My locker will have a lot in it...
I also found out that my finals are all Monday, December 14. Kinda stoked... Winter break will be longer for me. Yay!
Lastly, MW's father is getting rid of his old Macbook G4. I might be the lucky one who gets a 2 year old Macbook for a low cost. I don't mind. It'll be a nice hand me down.
Tomorrow brings locker organizing, calling different organizations, and reading chapters.
I have to purchase a lock and apply for a loan. Hopefully I hear from Susan about the Macbook.
Even after a rough morning, today was overall a decent day.

Good Evening Hounds and Handlers,

Jim dog reporting on LJ. I don't remember if I've scribbled in here before.
Anyway, today was the first day of "college" aka boot camp for the brain.
I exceeded expectations as I guided Sarah about crowds of people and obstacles.
The halls were congested. Many students are attending MCC because of the MCC Promise.
Basically the freshies get a free education for helping the community.
Sarah's jealous that she doesn't have the same. Although she is going to school with the aid of the state.
What about me, you say? Well, honestly, I'm just glad I have food and a place to sleep.
Unconditional love is also worth toting this Asian around. I got lots of praise and lovin's from Sarah.
At 6:30 PM, my harness finally came off. 8 hours of work can do a number on me.
Sarah will purchase a foldable bowl from Walmart for me.
It's harder eating out of something square.
I guess my paws are weary! Safe travels to all canines and handlers!
Study hard!
