Let It Rock
Jul. 20th, 2009 01:54 amI discovered that the Chicago chapter of the NFB has a new president. I met him on the train earlier this month while coming home from Detroit. I was so stunned to find out that Patti Chang is not in that position anymore. Surprise, Surprise! Now it's David. *grin* He is a very nice gentleman.
Yesterday was a chance to meet new people. I accomplished that plus I managed to get a ride home with a side of pancakes and an omlet for dinner. Score two for the Asian. Wonderful people equals an awesome day. I will be marching in the disability pride parade this Saturday. I am looking for others to join me. Any takers? Please???
This week is busy-ish.
Agenda looks like this:
Today (Monday):
-give Jim a bath
-geography homework
-outline history paper
-history homework
-reschedule meeting with Bev
-buy foldable bowl from Walmart
-black belt class @ 7 PM
Tuesday:
-write paper
-have paper proofread
Wednesday:
(at MCC)
-turn in paper
-meeting with Bev
-make video of Jim and I at MCC
-check on financial aid
All of these things have to be finished. It's definitely possible. Also, is it awkward for me to want to try fencing? I've been curious about it for a while now. I want to be the first legally blind fencer at MCC. It would be nice to be recognized as someone who will take risks.
