Every TVI Has Their Day
Aug. 27th, 2008 05:28 pmI never thought I'd be so excited about getting a Brailler of my own. Today was like any other day.
I woke up with a migraine. Not too long after, I feel asleep again and woke up around 12:30 PM. I never thought my head would feel better. But I had to get my ass up because I had a class in a couple hours and had somethings to get done.
Needless to say, I got my Brailler today. Class time was spent learning how to load paper, setting margins, brailling out the first 10 letters, and other introductory Braille stuff. I conquered! ROFL... It was so much fun. I felt like I was invincible and so ahead. I'm going to do my Braille homework tomorrow and hopefully get other homework done too. I will get it checked by one of my classmates. Perhaps, for my first assignment, I wont get anything wrong. No errors would be nice. I also have to go buy a braille eraser and some paper. Yay for hardcore TVI stuff! Heh, I'm so excited about this class.
I also returned to my TLSE 240 course today. I wasn't successful in passing last semester due to difficult circumstances. It was the first class and it lasted for 2 hours and 20 minutes. Fortunately, it's only once a week. I have the same professor. She talked for a long time. We had a 10 minute break at 6:45 PM and that was it. Wow, going to 8:20 without a break almost killed me. Quaid, my friend Alicia's dog, was chewing his paw for a good 20 minutes before class was over. I was telling Alicia and she didn't seem to do anything about it. Because I was worried he would bite the paw off, I kind of slid my backpack against Quaid's face to make him stop. I didn't touch him. But his chewing was very distracting. My method didn't work so I had to watch him chew the entire time. *sigh* So much for no stress.
After class, we walked back and ordered Chinese food. I enjoyed shrimp lomen and crab rangoon. Mmm mmm good.. *smile*
Now I am currently listening to music for my MUSC 220 class and writing this entry. My prof assigned only a couple tracks.. He skipped the jazz completely. Figures, he's a classical string player so he'd only assign orchestral music. *sigh* Oh well... Sad day... I'm escaping to Miles Davis Land!!
