Jim had a nice vet visit today. I am proud of him for behaving. He did too a lot of sniffing which was expected, but other than that, no problems.

Jim is "chunky" according to this new vet that I sought out. He lost 2 pounds though! I was told by GDF's vet that he only needs to lose about a pound or two from his weight of 82. Two weeks later, Jim is at 80.2 pounds when he was at 81.9 pounds near the end of class. Mr. Vet says that Jim would be better off at 78. I disagree. I don't want Jim to be too skinny. It's not like I don't work him. He was "chunky" when I got him. I'm slightly annoyed that they want him to lose more weight when he already lose some. They also want me to decrease his food by 25%.

Second thing that was pointed out was that Jim has a yeast infection in his left ear. El suckage! I thought there was quite a bit of fluid and there was a stench coming from that ear. His other ear is fine. But I'm not really looking forward to cleaning the left one. The vet or nurses weren't exactly clear on how to clean the ear either. I mean, they taught us at GDF. But this procedure has more steps and more medications. Bah, I'm not all that great at cleaning ears. I'm slightly paranoid. Was it something I did? The vet also said that the infection could have been caused by stress. I hope that's really what it was. From what I was told by J (the trainer), Jim hasn't had ear infections. More suckage....

After the vet visit, my mother, Jim , and I ran errands. Adam and I gallivanted all over Barrington in search of the LL Bean store which wont open till September 12. We drove an hour and a half altogether for nothing. Eating was a necessity after all that driving. Then Adam surprised me by saying, "I have to be home to mow the lawn in like 25 minutes." Who honestly does that? Why couldn't he just tell me before we even started this journey? If I knew he was short on time, I would have much rather went to Borders or Starbucks or chatted in a leisurely fashion while sipping a vanilla ice latte. I feel so freakin' jipped. It's always like that. When will he learn that it's inconvenient to rob someone of time spent together because of a chore he didn't do? Not to mention, it hurts to know that he does it unintentionally. So I can't do anything about fixing it or fighting about it.

Grapes, naive people annoy me......

I have quite the busy weekend and beginning of the week before I move in on Wednesday.

Tomorrow (Friday), I clean and prepare school stuff until about 1 PM. From there I head over to my friend Joanna's house to swim and hang with friends at the lake. I leave there at 6:30 or 7 PM, head back home to meet, mingle with my sponsor and their daughter. They spend the night.

Saturday, we hang out, eat, and be merry. Hopefully I get to see my friend Ashley who I never get to see at 3. The day goes on. We see a movie, eat dinner, and have a fiesta. End of Saturday.

Sunday, Adam leaves. Boo hoo... (No really...)  I say goodbye to him in the morning. (We'll probably meet in the park. Perhaps I'll go visit him on Tuesday in Chicago. Jim will guide me. *wink* My family comes over for some fun. Everyone is coming. We eat and talk and mingle and have a great time. *yawn* My cousin Michelle, her parents, and possibly their dog will spend the night.

Monday, we all parade to Six Flags. I don't know if I want to go. I still have people I want to hang out with before I am shipped off to my space at NIU. Adam is not here so blah. I'd like to see my former tutor Mike before I go.

I'm not sure what is going on after that. It's too (wow) short.... and drawing way to near for comfort.

And now, a well composed list of to-do's:

  • Fill out applications for various forms of financial aid
  • Clean and pack for school (boxes suck)
  • Prepare for tomorrow's fiasco with my confirmation sponsors
  • Call NIU's housing and dining to switch my meal plan to platinum (Yay for $45 more dining dollars! I hate the dorm food...  *sigh*)
  • Call DRS to discuss which money awards are needed for the school year
  • Find clothes that are mine (I hate sharing clothes with my family. I never get stuff back.)
  • Clean Jim's ear
  • Find GDF's lecture DVD (I have lost it... Shit in a can...)
  • Put all my music from my sister's comp to my external hard drive
  • Call a bunch of other people about random shit..... BAH! It must be done!
Gah, there's probably more! *gropes for thoughts*

Alright, well I think I am done with my little entry for the day.

Adieu! <3

P.S. I love uploading music. It makes me feel euphoric, but there is only so much money I can spend. *sigh* Someday I will be rich.... ROFL.
