After The Storm
Aug. 5th, 2008 10:53 amI'm posting more now that I'm home. It makes me happy. *smile* I have a lot to write about and usually not enough time. I know I will be doing this all the time when I get back to NIU.
Jim is laying comfortably on the floor, snoring away. I will buy booties today or tomorrow depending on how much input I get on color. Should I get the red and black ones or the plain black ones? I'm debating because red and black would be school colors. Imagine how cute that would be for football games! Black would just look like they're a part of Jim and commentary from others wouldn't be so abundant. Ruffwear sells them for $60 for four booties and socks so it's not like I can count on cost to save me.
I also still have to find two vets and a groomer. I don't know how many times I've mentioned this in my journal. It's for my memory. I can't seem to remember what to do. I think my mother may be bathing Jim the first time. I'll have to find shampoo and conditioner at the pet store. I don't really like his beard. It tends to smell and he looks like a crusty old man. Time to let it go and make him a dog... Pwahaha.. He also has a tuft in the top of his head from his hair growing back. It looks like a snow-cap on a mountain. I laugh every time I touch it.
My sister bought the wrong dog food. It's a different size than the one Jim is used to being fed. I'm annoyed because I told her to read the bag that I gave her and ask if they have it and to find another store if the one she was at didn't carry Iams. She left without giving me my change or receipt back. Little ____ ... Oh well.... I can't want everything to go as planned for Jim, right?

Now comes the time where I wonder about my dorm room and what methods I will have to keeping Jim and myself cool for the short time that summer is among us. I don't think a gate is necessary for him. I trust he wont run out into the hallway barking at the top of his lungs. I could just keep the door open and hope that no one decides to come into my room. I'm sure Jim will take care of me. I also have to look for an apartment for the summer of 09. I will not return to my town for I probably will be taking summer classes. Bah - so much to worry about!
I wonder what everyone is up to today. Perhaps I'll walk around and see.... Ugh - but it's supposed to be up to 90 degrees... Do I really want to risk it? *fights with self*
