I just found out Jim's weight today. *smile* He weighs 81.9 pounds and is 2 pounds heavier than the assumed  biggest dog on class. He is "the largest dog" currently in class. It's been established and I'm kind of surprised. I knew he was tall and large, but I didn't think I'd walk out of GDFB with the biggest boy there. I'm so glad because I love big dogs... I believe Jim is the biggest dog I've ever had. I used to own Malamutes but I didn't know their weight. I love my big boy.

I've been so incredibly tired today. I was sound asleep on the bus when we were traveling. I felt super sluggish too. Breakfast consisted of a cheese omelet, hash brown, sausages, and an English muffin. I had water and tea to drink, but not before I knocked it over whilst putting ketchup on my omelet. It cascaded into another student sitting to my  left, spooked her and her dog, they both jumped up while knocking the chair over and causing more chaos. All I could do was helplessly sit there because I was told not to move. Two trainers can to reassure the other student and her dog, wiped the water off the floor and the table, and breakfast resumed. I hadn't eaten a bite before all of this happened. Talk about the worst morning ever... I was incredibly embarrassed and apologized a million times.

Our training has been pretty intense in this heat of the summer. I can't believe I chose July to be here. *laugh* I hate heat. But Jim is doing quite well. We walked a route in Fort Charles today. It's a very trendy little tourist town near the harbor and one could smell the ocean breeze. It reminded me a lot of Miami or San Fransisco. I hope we can return there some day to do ferry rides. I had a green tea latte at Starbucks and talked to the student who I had spilled water on in the morning. Fortunately, she doesn't hate me.

In the afternoon, after a meal of a not-so-appealing tuna salad, macaroni salad, and potato gunk with apple for dessert and receiving a bag of pineapple slices shaped like flowers (one of the students shared her fruit basket she received as a gift and doesn't like pineapples), we drove into Smithtown and did a horseshoe walk. The route is shaped like the capital letter D. It was long and had quite a few obstacles, but Jim knew where to go. I just had to continue saying "straight" and he listened to me. My trainer J was actually further behind me and let me walk on my own. It was liberating to walk down the sidewalk without being concerned about cracks and dips and whatnot. Then again, it's been almost a week since I met Jim. We've become such a great team.

We got back to the foundation and played the doggie weight game. I guessed 78 pounds and was surprised that I was off by 4 pounds that I didn't add. All my excitement is written above, so why repeat it a thousand times?

I have 40 minutes before dinner. So I guess I have nothing better to share.

I'm just so glad I made this choice to come here. It's really more than I ever expected.

I'll try to remember to post what happened the majority of this past week.  Meanwhile, hopefully I'll go eat my dinner and try to dislodge this piece of CheeseNip from my throat. It's quite unsettling....

Take care and I'll post again soon!
